Did a Ruby run yesterday. I'll have more photos and my video later this week. I didn't take much for pictures so, I have to poach what others took.

I really didn't plan on the ice being that thick. I think that was the hardest challenge was all the water holes ice was too thin to hold the weight of the vehicle but the slabs we were busting were huge and thick enough to be a challenge.

We had 15 rigs show up.
11 wranglers
1 X-Terra (he did some minor damage)
1 4 runner (he dented a fender sliding into a tree)
1 Cherokee, lost his front bumper and a few other pieces. (All pieces collected and accounted for)
1 dodge TRYX.

You would have done good. I was impressed with that Nissan x Tera he only struggled in one spot. Put his chains on for the drive back.

Red Mountain was unsuccessful.
We didn't even make it half way
It is tight. Not a place to go if you like your paint.
Cracked my back bumper. Cracked the passenger rear fender.
Broke one wheel center cap. Lost another wheel center cap. Lost 2 valve steam covers.
Broke a clip that holds the front passenger fender to the body.

We packed chain saws. And they were put to good use. Lots of dead fall.
Bumped into a side by side that was coming out as we were going in. They ran out of mixed fuel for their chain saw. They made it to Pembina River. We were about 3kms from there when we decided to turn around.

I think this trail is more suited for ATVs. Unless it gets a good cleaning.

Video to follow

Won't be able to make anything for the next few weekends.

I'm hitting Ghost up on the 16th of Dec.
All other weekends are tied up with lots of little odds and sods. (Birthdays, and crap like that).

Dec 16th there's a group heading from Edmonton to Ghost Falls. (Down by Cochrane). Just a day trip.
I think we are meeting in Leduc around 530 - 6 am. Planning to be in Cochrane for 9 am. And on the trail for 10am.
