A friend has this big sled and is finding alot of snow & ice build up under the tunnel around the muffler. The exhaust just comes out of the muffler under there and warms everything up enough to make everything a large brick of ice.
Will extending the pipe after the muffler to come out near the back fix this problem, or will it take more than that?

Not sure if it would help since the muffler itself would still get hot and heat up the tunnel. Maybe your friend could rivet some hard plastic (something that wouldn't melt easily like puck board) under the tunnel as that would keep the snow from sticking to it in the first place? I haven't heard of anyone doing it but it might work.
