It doesn't get more stunning than at the lake, great photo ops and accomodation in and outside the park-hotels, camping. Guests could even stay in Pincher Creek.

I'm with you on this one cat. You asked specifically about the cost of living and let me tell you, you can't eat beauty! Our insurance rates went up 4x what we were paying in Ab. Nevermind the cost of fuel, groceries, clothing, what have you. Don't forget you're paying 7%PST on everything...
We had a cow moose charge our chocolate lab, she was barking at the moose. We were on a walk. When the moose charged, the dog ran down the hill right past us and kept going. That left me and my wife standing there looking into the eyes of a very pizzed off moose. She stopped about 20 yards...
That's good the dogs came home with it-I keep thinking there's got to be a way that I can train our two labs to sniff them out-sounds like yours are naturals:) Keep an eye out for rubs, but don't be surprised if you find antlers is some pretty bizarre places-deep into tree branches, on rocks...
