That's a deadly retro colour scheme. I like it!!Maybe the 1980 440 is returning!

So the 867 for 2020... stay tuned!!!
Same garbage different year.
I had the opportunity to chat with a Yamaha product rep for western Canada last spring about the (what if) Yamaha came out with a pure Yamaha twin 800 DI 2 stroke in a all new light weight mountain specific chassis. I told him they would sell thousands of these machines. He really didn't care to hear that. He told me even if they had the political will from within Yamaha to go in that direction, they lost their 2 stroke engineering teams years ago. They have no one left he said. They would have to start from scratch with multi million dollar investments at stake. He said it would never happen. He said they would rather compete in the auto industrie. I'll believe it when I see it.
they make one hell of a guitar amp.
The Yamaha 250 smoker is virtually unchanged since 1999. It's super reliable and was a good motor in its day but that was 20 years ago. KTM/Husky have actually been developing their 2T tech.I thought the dirtbike segment has come a long way over the years. Yamaha has a pretty nice YZF450 that has bluetooth tuning capability. Im not sure if Yamahas two stroke bike is anywhere near as good as KTM’s engine.
