i am currently building a tumbler out of an old compresser tank . i was wondering if any body know's what type of material to use for aluminum polishing. and also whats would be a resonable RPM.......... if this works , i will be building a big one... it is a 12 gallon tank

not sure but for rifle stuff they use corn cob and walnut and plastic and so on. I cant imagine it would be any different. I would try which ever you can find locally easy. I know i have tumbles 2000 brass in a batch of about 3-4lbs of corn cob and it still works well. just a thought anyway.
