well well well, looks like skidoo is closing the gap in weight. within 13lbs and the skidoo has a bunch of extra features on it that add weight, Limiter strap adjuster, hand guards, SHOT START, DIRECT INJECTION, and a real 16 wide 3" mountain track. Oh and the tunnel isnt made of tinfoil. Fit and finish/quality is also much better on the skidoo. You sure are sacrificing a lot to be 13 lbs lighter.

wouldn't take much to make them weigh the same. Power output on the 9R and stroker 850 are about the same.

i guess the weight and flickability argument is out the window.

Top up your coffees this should be good

900R must have more ponies I would assume? Is the doo 850 still claiming 165? or did something change in 23? Be nice to see them out side by side ripping so we can really start arguing.

haven't seen any video climbing a fresh hill. But i have rode both and power output is very similar. Lets just say skidoo is pretty conservative with their HP numbers and Polaris is good at marketing their HP numbers ( they don't exist )

muskoka has a video of a lake drag race between the two and the skidoo starts catching the 9r pretty quick. The 850NA doo is no joke either

yea lol, 5 litres. It needs it though for those slobbering plug fouling injectors

OMG
You guys are so desperat to be light you will lie to yourselves. That makes the Doo about 25 ponds heavier, LMAO.

Sorry but you are still standing at the back of the line waiting for your turn to ride the fat chick dreaming about a hottie.

From the Muskoka videos it looks like it needs it. Seems like the Poo's are running out before the Doo's every day ?

yep. couple factors at play there,

#1 - Direct injection is undeniably more efficient on fuel
#2 - a sled with more traction will spin less and burn less fuel. therefor a 155x15x2.75 will burn more fuel than a 154x16x3.0 with the same engine
#3 - polaris runs at higer rpm to build the same power. 8500 vs 8000

so yes, they DO need the extra 5 litres. If anyone thinks skidoo isnt testing this stuff against the competition ( including fuel consumption )that would be incorrect lol, you know that though

We saw that all the time years ago when we ran mod sleds. They used less fuel than the stockers because they got around much easier.
