Slydog skis 7" or 8"

Was going to order a set of Slydog's for my XM and just not sure if a guy should go with the 7" or 8". What has anyone else found?

I run the 8" on my rev. Love them. Floatation is awesome.

i run the 7's and prefer them over the 8's. flotation is still good but it makes sidehilling a little easier

 

[SUMMIT TREE]

I run 8" and love them! I did rip one off though but slydog would have warrentied them. it broke right on top of where the thru bolt goes thru the ski. I didn't have time to wait for a new ski so I made steel brackets to fix the issue. it happened when I almost hit a tree and was facing up hill.when I tried to back down the tail dug in and thats what did it. oh well
