Sled in limp mode? help?

hey i have a 2008 m1000 and its like the sled is in a limp mode, it will rev up to just before the clutch ingages and then just stops and if i put it in reverse i can drive it around. does anyone know what could be causing this? also could it be with the throttle linkage? any help would be very appreciated thanks

never heard of it, i would try unplugging the ecu and re plugging it in, it doesnt make any sense that it would work in reverse and not in forward..

i think it only works in reverse because it starts moving at a lower rpm. i had a buddies m8 do the same thing before but it fixed its self but mines just not fixing it, does anyone know where to find a list of what could cause limp mode?

nothing thats what i dont understand you would think before limp mode you would get one but nothing.
