Are thet still logging here? Can I get a 4 place up to 6 km and park off the trail as to bother no one? How muddy is the road? Need to talk to someone who's in the know.

We were there Sun. Road had a pretty good snow cover on it all the way up. I imagine in the afternoon it would be brutal slushy. I don't know if I'd drag a 4 place up yet, besides it's quicker to ride up on a sled.

Thanks for the reply, are they still logging in there? Want to ride there on Monday, but was told if ya ride an active logging road on a day there working the fines are huge!

Signs were still up Sun, however judging by the amount of snow on the road it didn't look like there had been much active hauling going on. Maybe check with the club?
The fines are nothing, coming nose to nose with a loaded log truck, now that's something.

How is the trail going into turtle, all the way back to Coplans mine from boulder parking lot? Is the Avy risk too high to go in this way? better off through Eagles pass?

We went in to Turtle via the groomed trail up the kirkup(not up the Copeland mine valley,Avie risk is way to high and impassible.
