Riding on the Blindman

Has anyone been on the blind an this year ??

I live on the Blindman west of Blackfalds & we've been on it a bit this year. Heavy early snow caused the river to stay open in may areas or have really thin ice. Many of the shallow spots are open. Ice is a bit better the further Northwest you move, but still lots of bad spots. Agree with Goodngrubby - I personally wouldn't be on it with a quad either. Haven't been on it for a few days, so the warm weather may be making it more dangerous.

Very little traffic on it compared to previous years if thats any indication.

After the warm weather, lots of water starting to run around open spots and under the ice. If the warm conditions persist, it won't be safe.

Ya no ridin this this weekend , maybe if the weather stays below zero all week we will try for next weekend.
