Powder coat or Anodizing

I want to do my rails and just wondering if I should PC or Anodize them? I have heard in the past about the PC can weaken the rails. Any thoughts?

horse poo poo, powder coat and be happy happy happy.


At one time somebody said that powder coating ice age rails weakened them, maybe it did I don't know. I have no issues powder coating polaris rails.

If done wrong and using a very high bake temp it is possible to weaken the metal. Just check with your preferred coaster to see if they have experience doing sled parts and such.

Lots and lots of powder coated rails out there though. People who have bent them, is it possible they would have bent regardless of the powder coating.
