i found my wifes first sled.79 ET 250 . dont trust the oil injection on it anymore.so whats a good mixture. 20-1 40-1 ? forget. quart of oil to 5 gal gas is 20 to 1? half quart to 5 gall is 40 -1 right ? and Premium gas right? she was pissed at me for selling it in 1990 when we moved to Barrhead. last month i found it in Edson. ad said. looks like crap. but starts in 2 pulls cold. 1 after that. so she sewed a seat cover for it. i put on new windshield. all new controls. except kill switch and its ready to go.

It depends on the oil you plan on running. Some oils 32:1 some 100:1 others are in between. I always went around 40:1. But it’s been years sense I mixed gas.

I think 40:1 would be more than sufficient. With a quality 2 stroke oil you could run 50:1 safely. Years ago I ran 50:1 mixture in an old 72 T'NT 440 with no problem and the recommended was 20:1 in the original owners manual. LOL, carried a box of spare plugs all the time the first year when I was running 20:1.
5 gallons imp to 1/2 qt is 40:1. Instead of using imperial though just use metric. 20 L to 500 ml.

Oils cheaper than motor parts. Don’t think there is a down side to over oiling except pipe spooge or fouled plugs.

50:1 if i recall. Oil injection on the 250s didn't seem to have issues. On the 300s they had a plastic shaft that would break. The 250s are bullet proof - still loads of 250s and bravos around.
If you're not sure / dont want to trust it fill oil tank to the brim and mix fuel tank 50:1 and then check the oil tank after the first 1/4 or 1/2 of fuel is used ....
