Those are pretty far fetched claims on the longevity. Whats the recommendation on motor services. Are the bearings on the motors oil bath? Are they greasable, sealed? 8 years and 192000km is a long time to go without some sort of a service.
To be fair, more people would be onboard with the tech, if there was documented real world tests done on the product. Right now this seems like more consumer R&D.
If this was a bigger automotive company that has the network of dealers to support their warranty , and their product. Than IMO it would be less of a risk purchasing a tesla product. I think the technology is great, and good on the people willing to invest on a new product.
I personally do not feel comfortable investing in a company’s product, that is still going through its infant mortality stage. I will continue to remain skeptical until the real world numbers come to light.
