It was a great day yesterday. We played safe and stayed of the hills, I noticed most people were doing the same thing. We went as far as Sprit Lake and the boondocking was good. Good Spring conditions. In the trees there was 1 1/2 of fresh topping, Mostly about 8 - 10" and that was at Sprit Lake, it was pretty pounded at the cabin. Coming down the trail starts getting bare ice spots at 3 km and the last 500m is dirt/mud. Forgot the cables for the Camera, but I got some great pics to upload next week.:d

Rod tryed to climb a straight up 50-60 foot wall, didn't turn out so good and Ron dove his sled into a creek, more pic's from Ron sure to come later.

Did the same thing myself last weekend. Here's the picture...looks very similar to the one above. Thought i'd power through it but nope. Nose went in and it stopped me dead in my tracks. lol

If the forecast shows rain in the valley does that tranlate to snow up top???? The forecast looks a little soggy. I will be arriving on the 28th for a few days of riding, hoping for fresh but ether way it will be better than the dirt here!

It rained in the valley bottom all day yesterday. I was up lucielle for a couple hours for family day and it was snowin so hard up there that you could see worth a crap.. And last night the snow line in the trees came right down pretty well to valley bottom, we got a little in town but not much. So yah it is translateing into snow up top.

We were at Lucielle on Sunday as well and it was coming down hard. It was covering up your tracks quite fast. We found an area that was untouched with 1 - 2' powder we spent most of the ride in there and then went to the cabin for a hotdog or Burger and some hot chocolate, thanks Barry, Rod and Shifty for putting that on. We went down the Granny trail and it was like a super highway, there was tracks everywhere and not much fresh to be found. But im sure the new snow would take care of that. The trail was Icy for the first km and then good. The parking lot was mud.

Renshaw trail was in good shape, a bit rough from 1-11 and a couple of bare spots. 2 feet of fresh and still snowing last nite in the anthills, snowing from about 18 up to the top. heavy new snow.
Painting Belle cabin today and check snow conditions and trail.
snow is sliding on the steep slopes so stay off them and play safe.
