can anyone give me some info on what tracks fit what. well I have a 136x2 on a 99 700 polaris and want to go bigger. I know I need rail extentions but I would like to know what is interchangeable between brands. I know the pitch is 2 1/2 on the drive side. want to go a 144x 2 or a 151 x 2. if a guy has one of these for sale do I just need to make sure the pitch is the same, and it is the length I need? do they all use the same slide width?

as long as you stay with a 15 wide track i am sure they are all the same slide width. My summit was stretched to a 151. went with rail extensions and big wheels. however once the track stretched a bit i had to slide my skid back to adjust track tension as i was out of slide room on my extensions.

yep as long as the track is 15 wide. even the 16 wides use the same slide width im pretty sure.

just watch for the new polaris tracks. the use triple drivers so there is a set of holes punched down the center.

One paddle wont affect much, be sure to check the rest of the paddles for signs of future failure. Look real close at those around the broken one

depends where it failed. if it tore into the track might want to reconsider. if the lug just broke off without takeing the base with it then it will be just fine.

but how much higher will that extra lug take you. you wont be able to sleep at night.

HAHA kidding.

Overkill, too bad you didn't start this earlier as I have sold off most of the parts to a 99 RMK that I stretched out to 151" In fact Magnet bought the rail extensions. I put a 144" skidoo track on my 99 and it was the better than the 151" Polaris track. If you are 225+ lbs I would find a used 151 skid over rail extensions. The rear scissor arm geometry is different on the 151-159 skids. I couldn't make the 151 work as good as the 144" did, I tried a lot of different things in the 2 years I had it.

If you want rail extensions, PM wildchild on this forum or SW. He is in BC and makes a great product. Highly recommended.:d

If you have any questiosn, just PM me.

I just had a thought. I have a 2005 900 with a 151 track. can I take the skid and track out and put it in my dads 1999 700? would that skid ride nicer than his 99 skid? then I could put a 159-163 and skid under mine lol. do these sleds use the same pitch track? would the 99 have a better ride?

Both tracks are 2.52 pitch. Your skid will fit with some work. We put a 159" in a 2005 900 RMK and it was like a whole different sled over the 151" Makes a huge difference.

I would look for a used 151" Edge skid for the 99(it has longer rear scissor arms for better geometry), and put rail extensions on yours for the 159".
