Got 1100 miles on my 2014 summit sport 800 (carb) and its prob time to do a full service on the clutches so I'm thinking of doing a clutch kit while I have it apart. Sled is pretty much stock with an mbrp can. I'm trying to keep the cost within a reasonable amount and will be doing all the work myself.
I've looked at the rooster built and DJ (ibackshift) kits available and think I should go with one of the two.
I only ride in the mountains and I'm 225 lbs plus gear. Don't do a lot of highmarking, mainly tree riding and creeks. I have a tendency to slow down to pick my lines and 50% of the time I end up trenching. (I've already adjusted the limiter to lower the attack angle to get up on top of the snow). I'm not worried about losing top speed on the trail.
Anyone have any ideas of the setup I should go with? Do I put in a DJ with his ramps (to replace my 441's)? Do I change out the stock 19/49 gearing. Go with a rooster? Leave the stock ramps?
