I'd like to see an mcxpress there stuff always works very well. Does there box plug into the ecu? I know they were not flashing them I don't believe what price did you get the power up for?

So why go MCX express? That's correct. It's a separate box that plugs in to the OEM harness. The ECU remains 100% stock and the MCX box modifies the signal's and fools the program. The OEM ECU continues to operate like normal unknowingly that its being fooled and modified. Unplug the MCX and its all back to stock.
The system comes with box, small harness, t-hose for boost valve connection to MCX box, 2 silicon cooler hoses. $2200.00
It comes with their pipe but i did not get the pipe as i'm using CR's pipe. With pipe i believe its $2800.00
What do you get for the extra $1500?Evo and Pecision EFI both have great flashes/tunes and other products for these sleds.
So why go MCX express?
Evo stage 4 is $700 for the flash and it has over a year of good results......
How do you explain the snorkle?I think the only reason you go mcxpress is maybe un plug it if you have 3 years warrenty and have engine trouble? Even then tho if they run a diagnostic and see you we're running 16psi you might be sol

They lean out without the tune......
You can run them without cold air but in general any modification can void warrenty mine was void long ago but my dealer still fixed engine sump leak and updated my rollers I think it's about what a dealer is willing to push through.
do you have a part number for the heavier Rivets ?Ok, this is some conclusion on the MTX 2017 model's. Some of this can apply to the 18's.
Yamaha has done a remarkable job setting up the clutches and gearing on these, honestly not much can be had in gains and no heat or belt issues.
The biggest issue is these are tuned for 8,000ft, basically done for areas like Colorado. In BC we don't ride those elevation's. The only calibration change i would recommend on all MTX is adding more tip weight onto the throw weights. If your finding your sled turning 88-8900rpm, which i suspect most of you are. Add another 1.5grams to the tip weight. 1gram equals about 100rpm. you need to drop your RPM's about 150. You need 8750rpm for that motor.
This on its own will gain you track speed simply because your motor will make better power and not go out of its power curve.
There is no need to do cam(helix) changes, spring changes and gear changes for a stock MTX, other then what i mentioned above.
I will post abit more here on clutching gearing when it comes to certain mods some have done on here.

The part #90261-06033 4.5g
The MTX oem throw weight, rivet weights; at the base 4.5g, in the middle 4.5g, at the tip 3.1g.
Replace the 3.1g with a 4.5g.

MTX have an aluminium 0.85g rivet in the tip. Part #90261-05028-00.
3.1g rivet comes on the sea level sidewinders.....so actually your saying add 3.65g of weight??
