Cereals just starting around here. Some guys doing early canola. Did a field of Barley today that was supposed to be malt but long story short seed grower I bought from screwed up and gave me a feed. At least we caught it before it went to the elevator. It ran 98bus/acre. I wish feed was worth something. Compensation to be determined later. Not sure how this will turn out or should turn out. Any Ideas Guys?

Depends how close you are to your seed grower? Lol. There are no guarantee's in the Malt markets either. You may have ended up selling your malt for feed in the end? Tough call.

Lots of skinny, high protein barley down here in southern Alberta. You may be right.

I feel for you guys down there. Never fun turning wheels for little to no gain. With a govt like we have you can kiss any feel sorry stories from them too. A govt like that will kill farming as we know it in less then 10 years my thoughts.

I think we are almost worse off this year. Most guys haven't even started as seeding was so late this year.

So where does everyone get their purple diesel on the way to Revelstoke?

Edmonton to Valemount is no problems, lots of UFA's.

Edmonton to Revelstoke my last UFA without side tracking is Red Deer if I take HWY 2 or Rockey MTN House if I take hwy 93.

I just noticed the husky carklock in golden right on hwy1 has purple diesel..... Gonna have to sign up for a card.

Where does a guy get purple in Revelstoke?
