they say there is a wave heading for Hawaii a 7 footer

Friends are on a cruise to Hawaii they made an alert for people to prepare that the boat may get rocked and staff ran around removing booze bottle and all the glassware

So earthquake in BC and now a massive hurricane headed to Ontario.. maybe the end of the world is coming after all? lol

Not the end of the world but the end of "cheap" gas prices....cause you know they are watching this excuse to drive up the prices

Seems to have calmed down finally. No new shocks for 6+ hours.
Real-time Earthquake Map
I live at less than 4' elev. right on the ocean. No real waves here (Vancouver Island is between us & this Fault) To put the 26" wave in perspective, the wind storms we have had in the last month here have produced 6 & 7 foot swells in conjunction with large lunar tides. The fault that slid is not a subduction fault,(the kind that make huge waves) it slips horizontally not thrusting vertically. If the Juan de Fuca plate moves I'm surfing to Chilliwack on the boat that's 3' in front of my house!
