so, I'm curious, ducks lay there eggs in the tall grass or bushes, and then when they all hatch they waddle down to a water hole, for safety? I guess they get are taking some chances with predators. too bad the ducks luck ran out!

Not to put a damper on this interesting thread, but I just heard this the other day. Ducks and geese are born with no oil on their feathers and they need that to be able to float. Takes a few days to develope it.
