On my 05 gmc 5.3l engine I have propane (also gas) the truck gets 19mpg on gas or 18.5 on propane. More power on propane. Pulls better This summer we drove 3400km for under 550.00 pulling a trailer 5000lbs GO PROPANE gas 149.9 propane 69.9 do the math?????

That's pretty sweet. did you do the propane swap yourself? whats all involved?

We do it in our shop in Fort St John B.C. It really works, If you are a mechanic you can do it. We get our kits from Complete Auto in Calgary 403-692-9388 ask for Trevor, You can go on line look under Impco, your truck has to be 97 or newer

if installing yourself, it must be certified afterwards here in alberta, and they are sticklers... Don't be surprised if you have to redo it a few times..... Best to pay the money to get it installed properly. We used to do the conversions and it just got to be too many regulations etc to worry about..... But with the price of fuel lately, maybe time to get back into it?? Hmmmmmmmmm
