best all around tire?

What is the best tire for my dad?He likes a smooth ride and he wants some good mud tires and trail.

xtr's are pretty good. 27" is the perfect size. they will fit on his rims and he already had spacers.

I hear the Maxxis Bighorn radials do everything well, give a smooth ride and wear like iron. If your only interested in deep mud then probably not the thing

I run Bear Claws. 4300km on them and still going. I found sand and gravel kicked the crap out of my tires but the Bear Claw must be a harder comp. I have had no complaints or flats.

I would have to say MUDLITE XTR's, there good for all terrain. A radial tire that last a long time too.

I agree the Bear Claws are a great tire, they get you through a lot of mud and are nice on the trail and hard pack.

i really like round tires. as for the best all "round" tires i would have to say they all do pretty good, except when flat. a square tire really sucks.....

I'm running ITP XTR's and no complaints here. Talked to a guy who had over 5K on his, and they where getting down on tread but still doing the job!
