I need to replace my rear bumper on 2008 M8 it is cracked. I was looking for the kits you can get to make them look like the 09 and up. I was wondering what is the best kit to go with.

I seen some kits on the net, and wondering which kits guys are going with?

I have a bdx kit for sale you can pm or check the classified section-chassis tunnels. asking 240 obo new in box. Nice kit, well built just didn't like the shape of the bumper. I will also be selling all my stock pieces from my 08 M8 when I put on the 2009 parts.

All those aftermarket kits retain that aweful rear cooler that hangs down and can be damaged..The stock parts from an 09 bolt right up (except for the connector hoses)..price on all new parts (including cooler) is only around $600.00....

Just an idea for you if you are interested. This is not a kit and it was really easy to install if you don't mind doing a bit of cutting and measuring. I don't have any closeup pic of it but it gives you a idea of what it looks like. Here is my cost and materials I used.

2010 bumper- $29.00 (u.s.)
Sheet of 80 gauge aluminum (thicker than stock)- 45.00
Bend aluminum to tunnel measurements and specs. -$5.00
Steel rivets-$15.00
Cooler hose and clamps-$15.00
Urataine-$20.00

The stock cooler (08) can be flattened with about ten tons of press weight. They won't break, but make sure you cushion them with blocks of wood on either side before bending. I chose not to use rivets to hold my cooling lines and cooler on. Just used windshield urataine. Worked great. Never had a problem all last season, and no problems with cooling.

Ended it up picking a stock bumper up for a case beer from a riding buddy that changed his tunnel out on his M8.

Thanks for all the replys and good ideas
