04 rev 800 fuel comsuption

It seems the 1st 2 trips this year, the sled is using way more fuel per day than last year. 1st day 58.3 km full tank of gas, 2nd day 63 km full tank of gas and then some, 3rd day 68 km full tank and then some. Granted way more powder than last year but still. What do you think might be causing this?

with the amount of snow you are on the throttle way more than you might think.

wait until the snow conditions are the same as your used to so you can compare then. its not likely anything changed over the summer unless you did some modification.

Snow depth was what I was thinking also, but I don't ever remember using a fill tank of gas at Quartz. Silent Pas maybe just because of the longer distance of the trail. No mods over the summer, same set up as last. What would happen if your fuel tank vent was plugged? Sled is running awesome other than the fuel guzzling.
