Hers my ABOM goggles, it charged with USB. The battery is in the goggle. It last about 4 hrs on all the time on a cold day. And if you only use the turbo feature it lasts at least the entire day and charges in about 4 hrs. The quality of this goggle is second to none.

How's the lense as in sharpness and clarity?
I read a review on snowest of the rose lense from oackley vs klim. Apparently klim lense gave a sharper picture.

The Aboms are a Carl Zeiss lens. Anyone who is into photography would recognize the brand. I haven’t tried the Klim but the Abom slightly edges out the Oakley but I am comparing two different lens for Sharpenss ( I said tints, but I was referring to the clarity). If they were closer in tint then maybe the result would be different.

I have that tint on my oakleys. Love it! Im disappointed that oakley discontinued the inferno. That abom lense looks pretty clear, is that a light sensitive lense??

How does the fit compare in your helmet. I looked at the abom and it says on their website they they are not designed to fit over eyeglasses. My infernos fit perfect over my glasses.

I found the fit to be good. Mine are the regular frame. The foam thickness was lacking slightly as it is a ski goggle so I would assume they are referring to a direct face fit for not working with glasses. I can get photos later of them in a helmet if you want.

The Abom lens that I have - deep ocean mirror - is a higher VLT @ %50 than the Oakley Prizm Inferno Jade at VLT %20 so with considerably less tint they are a clearer lens. The yellow Rknight has for reference is a VLT of %66 and the Oakley Prizm Rose Inferno is %21+.

With Oakley no longer being an available option and my disdain for 509 goggles the heated options are far and few between. I would likely try the 509 Kingpin Ignite but not at full retail.

509's in my group work awesome. I tried a pair one day and worked perfect. Ability for always on and 2 min bursts give flexibility and you can get a spare battery vs having to buy another full pair of abom's.

I was never a fan of 509 goggles heated or not, unless the battery pack of the 509 got better, unheated oakleys are the only other option for me. I rarely have to use the heat of my infernos, but when its needed its sure nice.

Im in Edmonton and just talked to a sales rep and 80% of the inferno sales was in canada only. Guess thats not good enough, disappointing but what can yah do.

I wonder how long the stock at Sportcheck will last at the price they are going for. Post on here when you can’t order them anymore.

I’m personally not a fan of 509 goggles either. I have a set of Oakley air brakes and they have been awesome for 4 seasons now. My 509, klim goggles were moved to my quadding adventurous as they both fogged up so bad I was better off wearing nothing. I purchased my ABOMs in February and I wish I would of had for the entire season.
This season I will be running both Aboms and Oakley heated so I will do a comparison first hand and post it.

The FF discount was until the 21st.

Hard to say how long the code will be honoured.

Think I might pull the trigger on a set of non-heated Line Miners. Will I have issues fitting the original ones in my helmet or should I get the XM model?
