When doing compression tests should you hold the throttle wide open or not at all?

Rpm, speedo, fuel, temp, km all quite so basically nothing works. Reverse does work but beeper does not sound nor do any of the lights on the dash work. I think the computer does work though because the reverse works fine. Any help would be nice Thanks
