There are HID kits available that plug and play with little modification, no battery or wire harness/relay needed for the XM. I have a set for my sled, it is HID low beam and Halogen/HID for high beam, super bright bought them from here: local company decent to deal with.

I have an SLP Can on my sled.. Its fairly quiet.. if i had to do it over again i would go with HPS

I have the BRP pre-filter kit. I leave the flap unzipped and velcro the goggles in place with their cloth sleeve on. I havent had a problem with wet goggles. I even dried out a buddys spare gloves in the bag (albeit they were thin) and my plastic cover is not drilled for ventilation.
