When you say "you" can replace the lens, do you mean take it to the dealer or is there someone in Calgary/Alberta that can replace/seal the unit? Mine still works...
Anyone see anything suspicious at the Cochrane turn-off PetroCan on Saturday? Enclosed trailer broken into with diesel and gas fuel stolen along with a couple ratchet straps. More of a nuisance and crappy end to a great riding day. Hope the idiots screw up and put the wrong fuel in "their"...
Lost brand new Garmin Rino 650 GPS/Radio in Area 51 or 52 of Quartz Creek on Saturday Novemeber 15, 2015. If anyone happens to come across it and would be kind enough to let me know, I'd greatly appreciate it. Not expecting miracles, but who knows, someone might see it one day and looks on...
Is your decal idea still working good or is there something in the aftermarket world that is out there for the XM chassis? I have checked ski doo's 2014 catalog too and nothing. :(
I sled the Golden area about 10 - 12 times per season. Some of those trips include riding two days on the weekends and staying at the Golden Rim (Days Inn now). I usually purchase a trail pass even though some of the areas I ride aren't groomed. My belief is that some of this money (fuel...
I discovered this post AFTER my sled's wrist pin bearig fell apart and took out my bottom end. I had purchased a "MCB" piston kit and gasket kit from ORPS's Parts in Ontario back in late October 2012 (installed Nov 2012 at my dealer). Well, 19 hours (6 trips) of riding later, she let loose...
First time to Hope on Saturday (15th). I can see how parking can be interesting, but it seemed to work out that day ok. The mud slide that guys refer to must have been fun for the first few guys poking through it. haha All good now. Worth the trip? Yes, I'd go again.
I checked with my sled insurance provider (Coseco Group thru Co-Operators)... if the sled is involved in an accident (my fault or otherwise), then they recover and pay for repairs much like a private auto coverage does. My fault, then it goes against my policy (only $295 for the sled) as such...
Thanks for all the feedback guys. Sounds like if your actually hurt/lost, then you're covered, but if you aren't, then there's some gray area on who pays... I have the Spot GEOS policy as well as full sled insurance coverage through the Co-Operators. I'll call them and clarify if sled...
So, to catch up on this thread (or possibly start a new one), search and rescue cost in BC/Canada is not billed to the person requesting SAR? If I use my Spot device to request help, am I liable for the associated costs for rescue?
Rode Saturday. Pipeline was in great shape and lots of snow still in the trees. Wind was filling in the pipeline nicely. One nasty creek crossing, but other than that, well worth the trip. Should be even better with the snow forescasted for today/tomorrow.
