Went for a ride today. I adjusted the throttle cable and it seems to idle normal now. I did a run for about 1/2 a mile at 3/4 throttle and checked the plugs. They both looked kinda grey/black. Sled seems to be running fine. In response to Dwishl's question if I flipped the choke lever while it...
Had my sled out this weekend and started having a problem with it idling super low, it is sitting between 0 and 500 while idling. If you press the throttle a touch it will idle up at 1500 where it is supposed to. Because of the low idle I'm having a hard time getting it to go into reverse. When...
I haven't done it, I run mine in the narrow setting. When I first bought my sled I also heard about the convertible ski stance and looked into how to change it if wanted but I'm quite happy with the handling in the narrow setting.
If you look at the block that bolts to the ski you will see that it is offset to one side by about 2 inches or so.
to set it to the wider stance:
- you have to take off the skis
- then loosen the bole that holds the steering arm to the spindle,
- rotate the spindle 180 degrees, so the wide...
We rode Cataract for the first time this weekend and had a blast. We ended up on a logging road that started between the Oyster and Skyline Trails that took us south of Pasque. We had alot of fun playing around in the cutblocks. Couldn't believe that you could find 5 feet of snow this close to...

I'm new to sledding and spent last winter riding the ditches around calgary. I am itching to take my sled out and go for a ride. I hear about riding at Cataract Creek. I plan on taking an AST 1 course next season but do not have any avy training or a beacon yet.
My question is: Is there any...
I am looking for suggestions for carbide to run on a 6.9 pilot ski. I was looking at the woodys slim Jim dual runner. I think this carbide is designed more for on trail use but would there be any detriment to off-trail performance? Other than a little extra weight. Thanks
I took my sled out to Chestermere lake the other day for a quick rip. I unloaded at the boat launch. I noticed a large sign saying to not go under the bridge. Is this relating to people with vehicles out on the lake for ice fishing or does this refer to sleds as well? Is there anything about the...
Hello, I'm bought my first machine and am new to the sport.
I am planning on spending this year getting used to my machine and getting out as much as possible. I have not yet purchased a avalanche beacon/probe but I plan to buy one and get some training and before I go anywhere that requires...
