I am looking for suggestions for carbide to run on a 6.9 pilot ski. I was looking at the woodys slim Jim dual runner. I think this carbide is designed more for on trail use but would there be any detriment to off-trail performance? Other than a little extra weight. Thanks

Shouldn't be any different off trail. It also depends on your riding style.

You can just run the plain round steels. They are cheap and last a long time if you don't ride on rocks and other hard pack.

Run the woodys dual runner on mine and the difference is quite abit on the trail. Takes all the darting out and handles alot better. Off trail no difference. The dual runners are hard on loading ramps as they don't run is the runner due to being wider.
