Are you guys listening to what your saying?? Weight is a HUGE issue. We heard the same thing about Nytros in a few years ago, that with the added power you don't notice the weight. Although that is true, what happens when your not in 4' of powder, and not moving?? Then add that to being on the side of a 30 degree slope??

The Viper is new. Not remarkable, or revolutionary.

a 4-stroke sled will always be heavier, the motor has more parts, plain and simple.....and to handle the torque these things make means a stronger chassis...its funny people say the pro is to light, the yami to heavy....hmmm doolaide me thinks !!!!

No secrets..... I don't feel like driving 12 hours round trip to ride **** snow.... Good riders can ride any sled in any conditions..... Then there's you! Lol
My job allows me to leave whenever I like so why not wait for fresh snow??? Seems pretty good to me!.... If your happy riding crap snow that's great

Easy Maxwell, lets not get too worked up.

I guess its just nice to get the real story. It seems everyone has a different meaning of best, or better, when what they really mean is different.
A turbod viper is different, not the best.
Personally, I like knowing talent is just as, if not more important then the steed.

I had seriously thought about a Boost-It turbo for my Pro. After reading this thread I think I will be going with a Boondocker. They don't go around saying that half assed chute climbers are the only people who know how to ride a sled and cut a line that nobody else can follow. Have fun doing mad wheelies over the top boys. I will be in the trees hiding from the 4 stroke Boost-Its

Lol.....unreal...! Dave started this thread looking for all the long tracked turbo vipers... I posted some videos of our first days on the new sleds!!! Then the **** begins like every thread does on here. Don't let a stupid thread or post determine witch turbo kit you going to buy, it's the internet! Then you go and spit out a post saying your gonna be hiding in the trees from the boost-it 4 strokes?!!! That's funny, it doesn't bother me that people think all I do is hammer chutes...so don't let this thread sway you into getting a lesser turbo product just for spite...

Dave doesn't do chutes. No way. My balls got smaller as I got older. Dave has had big bores, light weight this and that, 174 big bores, etc....and I almost quit sledding. Then I tried a T-Nytro. Dave LOOOOVED the turbo Nytro. And if the T-Viper is better.....saweeeeet. Turbo Yammys are not just for movie star chute climbers, I am here to tell you. These things are the most fun you can have with your clothes on. And if anyone says they aren't....they probably haven't tried one.

Wasnt referring to the riders, was referring to the sleds. A turbo two stroke won't run with a turbo four stroke in deep snow. It's been proven over and over.
I was hoping this thread could have stayed educational but someone had to come and tell everyone his opinion that the Yammies are to heavy so don't waste your time.
Buy what you want...it's your money.

Well next time Neil, you will need to show me again how your turbo viper is superior to turbo two stroke, and it better run better than your poos... You have a good day

You can join us anytime, but I doubt you will.
in the mean time, post some more vids of your sled going up those bunny hills. Not sure why you won't post the vids of your climbs up the big chutes, the way you talk there must be plenty?

my last ride out I swapped sleds with a friend...a stock 800 2014 (brand does not matter) I found it boring, handled great but lacked that surge of power I have gotten used to....if the viper handles similar to the 800's and you can have power too....I may consider one in a year or two...

Hey NM, how have the chaincases been holding up for you?

I have spent time on a Turbo Nytro and have a riding buddy that rides another Turbo Nytro. Now they are only 190HP but there are things that those sleds will not do as good as a factory 2 stroke, like elevator down a steep embankment, come back up the hill in an off camber situation on a side hill if she gets over center. Down hill zero turns in tight situations. Most importantly when they are stuck they are stuck and not fun to get out.

Now back to my post. I was a potential costumer and came on this thread only to see how the new kits are running. I do not want a Viper but I thought this thread would be a good representation of the craftsmanship of Boost-It products. What I found was a business owner in a pissing match with somebody about two stroke verses four stroke when he actually sells both. Negative comments were made about a riding style that I am passionate about. The Boost-It kit might be the best on the snow but after seeing how he does not treat every comment on a public forum as a potential to make a sale or bring a new customer his way I don't think I want to deal with that business. It might be as simple as getting caught up in trying to push the new Viper products and forgetting about everything else for a little while but I took a bit of offence to it.

Are u serious ???? I'm new to turbo 2 strokes first season on mine. I've rode a bd, hm, and a couple boost it ones I ended up buying a boost it kit for my pro. Been running it at 12# it's pretty fast BUT i rode my buddy's apex (old 4 stroke sled) with a alpine turbo running straight 112. I think it was boosting around 22# it made my pro look like a turtle. I though my two stroke turbo was the **** but it's nothing compared to a 4 stroke. My next build will be a 4 stoke Even if it's 150 pounds heavier.

Excuse number two!
Has nothing to do with me. Your the one going on about how great your sled is. I'm sure everyone would love to see it in action.
Maybe someone should start a thread asking where the vids are of Fred's Doo climbing anything?

Every one talks big on the interweb. But buy the boost it kit best customer support around and if u ride revy nm will most likely be there and help u tune the sled if needed. I needed help with mine.... I had a mtntk fix kit in it fueling was way different than a stock motor. But nm was there and tuned my machine in like 5 min I had a really fast machine.
