Register for a course with your riding group and you may qualify for 10-20% off your course fees.
Zac's returning students are also offered discounts this year. Come refresh your skills. Research has led to some new course content and beacon search methods are always upgrading.


Keep checking back throughout the season. I have lots of material and video clips to post on the site...just takes time to get it posted!


Amber Wood & I were manning the Canadian Avalanche Centre booth and met quite a few 4M members at the Edmonton Snowmobile Show. It was a busy weekend, answering questions related to training and Bulletins. Hardly had time to do any shopping!

If you are in Calgary for the Nov 11/12 show be sure to come for a visit. We'll be there!

AST 2 - (Advanced RAC) - 4 days

- for those that would like to take another step in your avalanche training, please consider the 4 day AST 2 (or Advanced RAC as it used to be called). Zac's Tracs will be assisting Peter Kimmel of Incline Research and Control. This program is ~70% field based, more about terrain, rescue, and snowpack. It will run in Revelstoke Jan 16 - 19, 2007. The course fee will be ~$400/pp. This may depend a little on the group size. The maximum on the course will be 8 people. Highly hands on with a very low instructor:student ratio. Currently there are 5 spots left for this course. This is the only class of its type that we will offer this season.
