Yamaha SRX700 Power Valve System?

Is it possible to block off the holes in the Cylinder where the power valve slides into the juggs in effort to remove the power valve system completely. What does the power valves do exactly anyway? If anyone has any first hand knowledge on this model sled, please help a guy out. Thanks:d

It changes your porting so you have good bottom end and top end power. I know they make block offs for m1000 so it possible for your sled.
