I have a 14 XM and and it was melting the split loom on the wires, I used a little piece of insulated foil tape and wrapped wires. does not look the greatest but solved the problem. I will figure out a nicer looking solution in a few weeks.

No melting in 5000 km with it

That is on a 2014..................I had no melting on any of my eTec Summits (and those were a 2012, 2 2013's and a 2014) prior to the 2015 T3. I don't know what the difference was but it was hot. I cooked the rewind so the new rewind is covered with heat foil. The link that is here is a thread from last year. The heat tape/foil does the trick.

I called a shop and they wanted $250 to ceramic coat mine. Seems high to me, $410 for the can plus another $250. How much at Absolute?
60$ impact coatings west end of Edmonton.

Foil tape at Lowes. In the aisle where the furnace ducting is. I paid 6 dollars for a roll.
