Trying to order a sled part from Newfoundland.
They want to charge me 15 % tax.
Would I not pay 5% as I live in Alberta?

When you travel to other provinces and buy something, do you tell them you live in Alberta and you're only paying 5%?

Pretty sure you pay the tax of the province you are purchasing in

That is different than if something is shipped or delivered by an employee.

Where was your primary residence? That’s where you pay income taxes. When you hired on they should of gave you Alberta or BC tax forms to fill out, I’m not exactly sure where you live.
You would of got it back at tax time anyway.

It depends, e-commerce you pay the tax for where you live. If it's a dealership and you ordered it over the phone then you pay local tax rate.

Nope. Purchased a truck in Saskatchewan. Only paid Alberta PST. Also when order online, should automatically change, when you put Alberta address, postal code.

if you get charged another provinces tax rate you can go down to the government offices and fill out a form and you will get your money back, except for GST 5 %, easy peasy, just that easy.

Yes, it's pretty straightforward "If a customer asks you to deliver products to a different province or territory, you charge the taxes of the jurisdiction where the product ends up."

The vendor is working on fixing his software.
It is supposed to pick the tax rate based on which province you enter for shipping.
