Malibu's new surf gadget! it’s like a "gate" that swings out the back side of the boat, one on each side. Supposed to work awesome! Wizard lake marine says they have great deals on 2012's due to numerous trade ins!!! It's only $85000 and u2 can have one!

Ya u can get a vlx for that price depending on options of course! I've never surfed before but this should help!

The surf gate help switch sides from regular to goofy very quick its new technology so to speak for surfing it doesn't make the wake bigger tho wich is also very important factor, it takes us 8 minutes to switch sides so it can be time consuming.... wake surf n is catching on pretty good so manufacturers do their best to move forward,,, its good fun as everyone can do it and it doesn't hurt as much when ya fall lol as well the water can be choppy instead of waiting for calm water to ski or wakeboard

this video shows how quick it will switch,, its also pretty challenging to go from toe edge to heelside again new for the sport,, some guys do this but with 2 boats and make a spine SURF GATE by Malibu Surf Switch - YouTube

There are proper boards for wake surfing, but it looks like you guys are just using regular wake boards! Very cool!
Just a note to others thinking this is as cool as it looks...it is but you need a proper boat! Do not try wake surfing with anything other than a tournament boat, or in some cases a jet boat.

Awesome Vid JohniT!!! I did a bunch of surfing this summer but we never even thought to try with two boats! That's so sick! I will have to upload the footage we took.

There are 2 styles of wake surf boards... surf style and skim style you saw both in this video.... surf stlye is more like surfing and better for air and skim is better for 360's slides etc.... they are very different. there is NO way a guy could use a wakeboard tho.
for the bowl we speed up to about 13m/ph and yes the push is just incredable its probably the closest thing to real surfing IMO its a blast...
