Just pulled a set of ifr8ag. New set the dealer gave me are a pfr7ab. I realize the 7 are a hotter plug range.

Sled is a 2015 t3 800 etec. Was there a flash to go with the hotter plug? I thought I remember some sleds fouling plugs so the hotter plug was brp remedy?

Same as me for the last 4600 km. No fouling always ran good.

Prf7ab's on boost - good to go - spark plug wire falls apart before the plugs do

The hotter plug probably helps clean up the bottom end under boost. Since I’ve put the twin pipes on I’m running a little rich in bottom. The 7s might not be a bad thing for me.
fouled a set of plugs back in the day on a zx 800. Through my plugs in my brothers 700 that were one heat range hotter to heat them up so we could get the 800 started again. When we pulled them out I couldn’t believe how much they leaned out that 700 engine.

Some of the early 2015's had troubles with fouling the plugs, dealers changed them out to the 7's which the 13's and 14's ran and the problem went away. I think they have since stuck with the 7's

Well. I put the 7 heat range plug in. No programming. It seemed to run well and helped to clean up my bottom end on my 860 twin pipe sled. Only put 10 litres of fuel through it as my buddy took a rod out of his xp by avalanche alley
