[FONT=&quot]The mainstream media, leftist activists and even politicians are accusing Don of being racist for remarks he made during the November 9th edition of Coach’s Corner.
Even Sportsnet and Don’s long-time co-host, Ron Maclean, condemned Don for his remarks.
In his remarks, Don encouraged Canadians to wear poppies.
He inferred that Canadians, particularly those who don't wear a poppy, need to learn more about what our brave men and women did to protect our freedoms and our democracy.
That’s it.
How is that racist?
These “woke” activists who are calling for Don’s head are the same people who said Justin Trudeau’s blackface incidents weren’t racist.
This is just another sad attempt to take down a Canadian patriot.
Grapes has hosted Coach’s Corner for over 30 seasons. Every Saturday night, Canadians tune in to hear what the Coach has to say.
He deserves much better than this.
Don Cherry has nothing to apologize for.
