Do sledders need to pack gas in Revy? How many kms is an average day?
Between 3 and 4 hundred km I'd Think....Do sledders need to pack gas in Revy? How many kms is an average day?
Pretty sure the average ride is not 3-400km. Heck, that is very long day in Ontario on a trail ride. I average 65-120 km, all depending on how long the initial trail ride in is, plus how deep the snow is. If going to Blue lake, could be 150km due to the long trail. Generally, we don't need fuel except that one perfect day every trip!Between 3 and 4 hundred km I'd Think....
Depends on the day and what area your in. Most deep days up boulder or frisby I'll pack some and dump it in the sled first chance I get. If it's more hero snow or conditions aren't like your gonna be right to the bar all day then we usually leave em in the truck. It's kind of a good idea for at least one person in a group to have one can just in case.
That said going into joss or area 51 or even caribou and keystone. Yup. It's a long ways to run back to the trucks on ungroomed trails if one guy goes bingo.
I thought the number one safety item was a Trojan?Always pack gas, #1 safety item.
Same principle... have it and might not need it, but it’s better than needing it and not having!I thought the number one safety item was a Trojan?
On deep powder days (fair bit of snow down low) I always took one can on the XM.
Two new style doo cans stacked for the 850, it burns substantially more and even then have had to borrow to get back.
Distance covered will change by easy 50km depending on snow.
I never ride without ar least one can.....except half days on home day.
How do the Ski Doo can hold up stacked up two tall? Is the linQ system that strong? I know it’s empty a can ASAP kinda thing but even on the bumpy trails makes me wonder how that would do, it’s a great idea if it holds its integrity...thanks in advance!
2018/2019 is the year I’m going to make it way back in Renshaw, don’t know when or how yet but it’s a bucket list ride and I’m on a mission!
Yup I've never been back that far in there either but I'm super game to explore it way back too.Your gonna want some spare fuel fuel for that day Especially if the snow is deeep.
