Question for all the albertains before i start calling around. The father inlaws old outlander is starting to give up the ghost over 17.000 km on it. He is in his 70’s and doesn’t need a 800cc anymore either where is a decent place to look at honda for him. Want a shaft drive. Im in Edmonton but will go anywhere in alberta.

A bit rough lol. Don’t think the shocks on those pos’s even move. Never mind you hit one mud puddle and there goes your brakes for the rest of time.

I’d personally look at a smaller Yamaha pretty hard to beat their reliability and ride decent. Shaft drive these days might be hard to find?

Well first off it’s 37 years old op was looking for a new quad, that’s pretty close to being the farthest thing from a new quad. Compared to new ones ride and general comfort it is a pos. Second of all I grew up around those machines they weren’t that special back then. Like I said they were the worst riding of them and pretty much never had brakes with Hondas drum brakes. And its 37 years and you’ve took the factory tires off do to cracking not worn out, fenders still has stickers and seat isn’t cracked which all tells me it doesn’t have many miles and not used much. And thing even the worst made vehicles don’t break down if they don’t get used. But seeing it’s still bothering you after a month after I said I am sorry for hurting your feelings about your quad.

Any plans for the old outlander? Part it out? If so and it’s a 2007 or 08 with a working gauge cluster I would be interested in buying the gauge. My f-i-l gave me his 07 outlander but due to it spending majority of its life outside the moisture has corroded the circuit board inside the gauge cluster
