Lots of headlines today at indy. Tony Stewart's final brickyard 400, Dale Jr out with concussion like symptoms and had Jeff Gordon come out of retirement to drive his car, and keselowski and logano going for Roger penskes first brickyard win. It started early with keselowski and logano getting off pit sequence from the rest of the field trying to only pit 3 times in the race vs 4. However that strategy didn't work as the day went on. Jeff Gordon battled the heat all day and came home 13th from his 21st starting position. Stewart started 3rd today and after falling back to around 9th before the first pit stops due to a tight race car he later got a pit road penalty that called for a pass through penalty that put him down 1 lap. He raced his way back onto the lead lap and brought the car home 11th. He was very satisfied with the finish after taking the blame for getting the team behind. After the race Stewart and Gordon took an extra lap around indy side by side as it will more then likely be both of their last race at their home track. On the other hand it was Toyota domination today. Joe Gibbs racing looks awfully strong as a whole even though Carl Edward's got caught up in a wreck on the closing laps. It was Kyle Busch in the #18 skittles car today taking the victory being the only driver to sweep the poles and the race victory in the same weekend at the brickyard in both an exfinity and sprint cup car.

Today's top 10 were

18, 20, 48, 11, 42, 4, 22, 78, 3, 27

Thanks Zeebers for getting the results out and a fine rundown I might add. Just back from camping so have been dragging my butt on here lately. Busch, Kenseth, Edwards and Johnson have now clinched Chase spots as well as Kez last week. Here is the updated Chase Grid after Indy: 2-18-19-48-20-4-41-22-78-11-14-24-3-31-1-42

I guess Harvick will be missing his crew chief this weekend in Pocono because of the missing lug nut rule after tech last week in Indy. He was fined $20,000 and given a one week suspension from the track.

1st practice results from the tricky triangle and it looks like Paul Menards new crew chief is making his name known: 27-11-18-19-4-78-22-24-31-3

Yeah a guy invests in these trips and the last thing you want to be doing is climbing on a plane when the green flag drops on a Monday morning.

Well after postponing the race today because of rain it was only fitting they crowned a winner because of weather. With about 25 laps to go a giant fog bank moved in over the track and they red flagged the race with 22 to go. Nascar couldn't see half the track so they waited it out till rain was imminent then called it. Congrats to first time winner Chris Buescher in the 34 car as he was the lucky dog in 1st when it was called based on pit strategy. Here were the top 10: 34-2-7-4-14-42-11-19-18-41.

Here's the Chase Grid after Pocono: 2-18-19-48-20-4-41-22-78-11-14-3-31-24-1-42. Buescher is 6 points out of 30th so expect him to get some extra help from Ford and Roush Fenway so that he gets a spot in the Chase with only 5 races left in the regular season.
