A wild one at Indy for all the wrong reasons today. Track failures and ridiculous pit calls made it a bit of a wreck fest. They went to overtime after yanking out the curbing that caused all the trouble and cleaned up all the fluids with speedy dry from damaged race cars. Congrats to the 16 car for toughing it out for the win.

Good news in Nascar today. Josh Berry has a full time ride with Dale Jr.s team next year. Josh is an older racer that never had opportunities like some but did get a tryout this year and made the most of it.

He will draft up. 550 hp package. Need to draft to get to front. Hopefully they pick right rear spoiler angle. Did you hear him and Joey swapped spotters? He has TJ Majors now instead of Coleman.

Well Brad is done at Penske. So they will feed him second hand crap till end of season.

Rodger gives 2 chits about Brad at this point.

He has built his 2022 Penske cup team.

Wonder what documents Brad has to sign to leave Penske.
Like confidential race information etc.

She will do better than Decker.
Listening to them on Nascar radio. Decker gets nervous in traffic.

I read he is still attending competition meetings every week with the other 2 teams? Not sure if that will carry on till end of season or not.

See what this does to the track

NASCAR has opted to use resin on the racing surface this weekend at Michigan in addition to dragging tires along the asphalt surface, a departure from its past attempts of using PJ1 traction compound to widen the racing groove on the track‘s smooth but wide turns.

The resin being used this weekend is the same that was applied on Nashville Superspeedway‘s concrete surface for its mid-June races. NASCAR Executive Vice President of Competition Scott Miller joined SiriusXM NASCAR Radio on Monday to discuss the advantages of using the resin over PJ1.

“It doesn’t have a sticky, glue-like component to it,” Miller said of the resin. “What it does is it accelerates the rubber going down with the tire dragging; it actually binds to the track much better. And what we liked about Nashville is it was super consistent, from the bottom to the top, where PJ1 sometimes it becomes a more dominant lane — a little bit too dominant lane — and sometimes it doesn’t work so good.
