m7 ignition troubles

my 06M7 kills the lights with ignition key but wont kill motor.maybe a broken ground wire,have no idea where to start looking. any suggestions as to where to start looking would be appreiated.

try taking the back part of the ignition switch off and connecting the two contacts together with a jumper wire. if it wont start or kills the engine it is the switch.

remove the switch and put a tether cord in and use the kill switch it's no like it has electric start or you couldn;t steal it without the key,the most useless part on the sled is the key/switch
