I totally agree. I'm riding elsewhere until that place dries up half decent.

That is why we won't be going to the foothills or mountains to ride. Have to respect the land and the hard work that goes on maintaining the trails. Waiting for it all to dry up some.

Does anyone have any good ideas where to ride also bush camping for the long weekend thanks.

As far as i know SRD is going to shut down the trails everywhere for the long weekend... they are waiting to the end of the week to put a dampner on weekend plans for the off roaders that leave a mess and tear up the land.

i bet they wait till wed or thurs of next week to announce it....
being a member of the calgary atv riders, we have a very close relationship with the powers to be... last year we got over 200 thousand dollars to build bridges and maintain trails.... so just what i heard till now...

Srd website shows they are considering closing some areas not all areas
They make mention of the fluz areas in the release my guess is those will be the areas that will be closed to ohv traffic ie west of the forestry trunk road
Hopefully they announce it Monday as many people head out early for May long

SRD has to announce a closure 7 days in advance i was told......
