Friend needs help with arctic cat f5

Can you put a stator from an 2003 f5 on a f6 engine

if the 2 electrical plugs are the same and have the same amount of wires Good To Go

Carb and EFI are different. 500's only came in carb, so they dont have a fuel pump and injector coil in the stator. but like above, if the plugs are the same and they're both carb'd sleds it should work.
