Foam inside Polaris Panel

I'm about to replace my RH side panel and now see a kit for 121. for foam :-(

Do I need to use the foam in the new panel or can I use Heat tape?

Does the Metal heat shield come in the new panel if ordered new from Polaris?

Foam just holds water. Not required. I rip mine out Day 1.

Grab some of the sticky reflective fiberglass heat tape,.. kinda like for headers, you can get it at napa. Slap it on the side panel and call it done, I'd take a picture of my side panels of my Doo but I'm too lazy at the moment.

This is what I was thinking. I can call dealer and ask if the metal shield in there comes with the new ones or if I can pop it off the existing panel

too use on the new one.
