judicialwatch NEW: A recent U.S. alert warning Mexico of armed Iranians planning to enter the country through the southern border didn’t faze a busy Mexican border city’s police chief, who confirms the region is full of Middle Easterners, Africans and Asians heading north. In a Latin American news report published shortly after the U.S. issued the bulletin, Mexicali Police Chief María Elena Andrade Ramírez matter-of-factly said the arrival of people from the Middle East, Africa and Asia as well as the rest of the Americas is “normal” in her California border city of about a million residents. Nevertheless, the chief, who affirmed receiving the U.S. government bulletin, said she planned to cooperate and coordinate with state authorities to “reinforce security.”

Did I hear this right.....Trudumb is blaming the US for the downing of that Ukrainian airliner? If that's true, he is even dumber than I had originally thought.

Oh you were right, Trudeau is unethical no question about it...been charged several times for his crime. Jumping to conclusions that the shooting down of the aircraft was an accident!! Commercial aircraft have to follow a strict flight plan, no possible way this was an accident. On top of that they were filming the missle strike, some one knew the exact time it was going to be shot down. But welcome first hand to our unethical prime minister. I wonder how Trudeau is going to spin iran firing bullets into the crowd of protesters.

Thanks for that....I’m not familiar with that side of things... I tend to follow the supplier/ demand/ political dimensions that alter and sway how companies go up and down.

no worries most people don't know about it. but it's really important though.

how do you feel about all the stock buy backs corporations have done over the last 10 years? there is good reasons for it and shady reasons for it too. nothing illegal here, but what do you suppose caused that spike in price on the Boeing stock June 2016? it wasn't because they suddenly were selling more planes. there has been a lot of different factors driving the stock market up the last 10 years. I am not ray dalio here but I try to figure out how things work though, and how I can profit from that info. it's good to get other people's perspectives I certainly don't know everything there is to know on the subject.

I’m no expert either, and I’ve made my share of mistakes, but I’ve done much better managing my own investments than any advisor I’ve ever had. As far as stock buybacks, they’ve always given me pause. My concerns are that there’s institutional investors that usually benefit the most and the board members of the companies often have big positions as well ( supposed to be arms length but....). Also, guys like warren buffet and his ilk can cause ripples just by giving a speech. I believe that influence peddling and insider information leaks are rampant. There’s a reason why fund managers and traders are often way richer than their salaries should support, and that politicians usually leave politics grossly richer than when they enter, and they’ve crafted themselves exempt from most trading restrictions.
For a small time guy like me, I find that watching the news, following politics and world events, plus having a reasonable working knowledge of a good cross section of technologies and industries allows me to foresee upcoming events. Sometimes I hit, sometimes I miss, but generally come out ok.

You are one of the people. When the election doesn’t go your way, you have a temper tantrum and want a do-over until you get the results you want. And your buddies in the mainstream media support this idea. In the states, the left wing never accepted that trump won the election, that everyone that voted for him made a mistake and if another election happened they’d all come to their senses, do the right thing and elect Clinton.
Another prime example of this was brexit. The brits had a referendum, and voted to leave the EU. People like you went nuts, called the referendum illegitimate and wanted a do-over. For several years the left wing, led by the media talked down to everyone, forced two conservative prime ministers out and warned everyone that the world would end if there wasn’t another referendum to reverse the first one. So Boris Johnson called their bluff and had an election, and the people again, by a larger margin, voted for the party that promised brexit.
The same thing is gonna happen in the next USA election. People like you will rail against trump, promote socialism, and talk down to everyone that disagrees with you.
And trump will get re-elected again, with even better numbers, and entitled, socialistic crybabies like you will again have a hissy fit.

I don't watch TV never mind " mainstream media". I have owned my own small business for 37 years and run a few cow's since for the past 42 years. I don't need Fox News or CNN to tell me how the economy is doing. I have never had the protection of a union or had a job with gaurentted hours and defined pension plan where the wage is set by a collective agreement paid for with tax dollars. Forgive me when I take it personal when some Dick Weed politician wants to take food off my table. I am not expecting you and your pals to understand the concept of free enterprise economy. On the contrary I fully expect you to continue doing what you do in your own little world waiting for the next Koolaid Festival.

thanks for that. now here is the real question I have for you or anyone else. atv rancher ext

what do you think the S&P 500 is going to do over the next 12 months?

I think there could be a major crash. I think a lot of the big stocks are way over valued. there is major monetrary stresses happening, you have wall street pulling shady moves, you got war, you got trump election come up here soon, market at all time high''s ....

what do you think? am I right to be worried. or is the market going to sore to new heights this year?

Yes the markets are more than likely due for a correction - I was being facetious.

And it just keeps going, anyone good at math knows it just does not add up. Our idiot is adding debt at a rate unheard of, killing off companies left and right. And it just keeps going, abandoning the markets 10 years back for gold silver bullets and food. I was wrong, it just keeps going.

I believe you are right we are in for a major correction but I give it 18 months to 24 months. Not much is going to happen between now and election time IMO then give a few months for the honeymoon to end for whatever party gets in. I need to buy forex for my business now that one has been tough to read right now.

I don’t think anything big is going to happen this year. As far as the internal, high level stock market irregularities, it’s always going on, always has, always will. The big boys always take care of each other, and usually what’s good for them is good for us. There’s nothing us little guys can do about it.
There will be a small blip when the brits leave the EU, but there will be talks quickly starting for a UK/USA free trade deal. Iran is a wild card. If they have a change in government, nothing much will happen globally. If they don’t, the US and Israel are gonna thump them hard sometime this summer to stop their nuclear program. That will probably cause a short, sharp downturn that should recover quickly.
The huge worry is the upcoming election in the states. If trump gets re-elected, things will continue relatively smoothly. If the democrats get in, business investment, capital repatriation and consumer consumption will grind to a halt, taking the market with it. Business/consumer confidence is relatively good with trump, and the socialistic bent of the democrats will cause huge uncertainty.
That’s what my tea leaves/crystal ball tells me. FWIW.

I never said I had it rough. I've never been afraid of a days work so far. You might not believe it but there are a lot us who like working.
Unfortunately I got Frost Bite on my fingers working cow's the other day. So my wife is taking me to the South China Sea for a month or so I can heal up in time for calving. Crap I miss working!
