Well guys, my buddy is looking at a 05 CRF250r, it looks like a real nice bike and everything. But, another buddy got a 08 and most of the time its hard to start and the valves always need adjusting. Are the 05s the same, or is it just more in the newer models?

Thanks, any help is appreciated.

i have an 06 and ya valves are an issue but they are easy to adjust, and most shops will do it for 80 -100 bucks if your not comfortable doin it, youll be happy with the bike just have the valve clearence checked right away if he buys it cause ya never know if the last guy paid any attention to it, all in all it will be a good bike if its been taken care of
