changing oil advice

want to change oil in my etec do i need to empty the reservoir completely or can i add the new oil anytime?

I think it depends on the oil. Some oils are compatible so in that case you could just add in the new stuff but some aren't and can gel up or something. In that case I guess you would have to drain it.
