Honestly I was afraid Cat was going to roll over and die, follow Yamaha's lead. I'm happy to see them bring something out, and hopefully Textron will get back onto the show circuits too so maybe we can actually see these things!

Fast forward to the 11:40 mark to hear about the engine.

Looks like the gauge can also be used as a two way communicator through voice or text as well as track others in Your group.
Im wondering if the buddy tracking works with the garmin rinos and maybe the trail tech units that polaris has.

11% gain in HP and tq, well that a nice round figure to market on, thats new.

Hmm still no direct injection eh, no one else seems to be able to figure that out.

Why no square bore engine? They just did what Polaris always does put bigger pistons in jt

Geezz I don't want to hurt any feelies but didn't doo buy their tech from evinrude???
Square, oversqure or under - all depends how you want your engine to perform.
Same as cars - depends what design intents was.
Man....... it just came out and you guys already feel threatened.
Well I gues somewhat rightfully so with:
1) The heaviest sleds being sold
2) Worst power to weight
3) Lowest NA hp
4) Still no belt drive - is there a recall on that old chain drive???
5) Display screen that went from can't see it to....hmmmf it doesn't doo much, jut big.
6) Thank Christ the motor works
Stay home and sort out your own closet.
Let Cat have their turn in the sun.

I wonder what rpm they have it producing power at. Pretty much the same bore and stroke as the skidoo 800 r and etec builds.
Loosing 0.1 of stroke

182hp…. Missing a digit on the front end for that to happen. 958cc I’d believe it then.

I agree. Pipe dyno runs DynoTech did on a ZR 8000 with a ctec2

Here’s a summary of the peak power and torque numbers but for all the details on the dyno session, check out the subscriber pages at dynotechresearch.com.

Stock - 153.6 hp @ 7900 - 102.6 ft-lbs. @ 7800

Pipe 1 - 156.5 hp @ 7800 - 105.8 ft-lbs @ 7750

Pipe 2 - 159.6 hp @ 7800 – 108.1 ft-lbs @ 7600

Pipe 3 - 160.4 hp @ 7900 - 107.2 ft-lbs. @ 7800

Pipe 4 - 160.6 hp @ 7950 - 106.8 ft-lbs @ 7850

Speedwerx - 163.4 hp @ 7950 - 108.6 ft-lbs. @ 7850
